APEM’s industrial operations are characterized by a strong vertical integration. This allows us to support our product strategy, which is to cover numerous markets and above all to adapt our offering to the needs of these markets.

This vertical integration means expertise in many industrial trades in the Group’s 9 production sites, all located close to our main markets, ensuring perfect technical knowledge and extreme reactivity.

Research and Development (with a strong product renewal rate), quality (aiming at product performance) and logistics (with an ever more advanced distribution organization) support industrial operations for continuous product/process improvement and excellence.

Of course, human factors are at the core of this progress strategy, with the involvement of everyone at all stages, including safety and environment which are key elements of our everyday priorities.

APEM’s philosophy is quite simple. Provide the broadest offering of high quality human-machine interface products at competitive prices. APEM has emerged as an industry leader, manufacturing critical components for harsh environments since 1952.

APEM’s North America team is focused on providing the best customer service in the industry. We offer over 150 product families through our 30 distribution partners across the continent. We provide personal service from our customer centers located near Boston, Massachusetts and San Diego, California where a live person will answer the phone and a customer service representative will provide assistance, 12 hours a day. We have experts available for local visits across North America with 90 sales representatives, sales managers and product specialists available for in-person discussions to help design in the best HMI product for any application.

APEM invests in lean manufacturing in its factories and in local inventory to ensure that products are available when needed. We stock over 10,000 part numbers in our warehouses in California, in Massachusetts and at over 50 distribution centers across the US, Mexico and Canada.

Customers are at the heart of all we do at APEM. We continue to believe having local technical sales and support for our products, speaking the local language when possible and being present in the markets of our customers is a key differentiator of APEM versus our competitors. This is clear from the strong sales network we deploy with APEM technical sales offices in France, UK, Benelux, Italy, mainland China, USA, the Nordic & DACH regions and carefully chosen technical distributors in most other major countries where we do not have a direct APEM presence.

We also work hard to ensure our products are readily available via numerous catalog and internet based, high service distributors who provide that ex-stock availability for initial design requirements to get customer’s projects moving as quickly as possible.

At our core, APEM is a component manufacturer, most well known for our switches, but increasingly so for our joysticks and indicators. What sets APEM apart is the breadth of our portfolio of options meaning we can increasingly offer numerous components for a customer’s front panel requirements.
Our commitment is to stay at the leading edge of the HMI component world by continually bringing new, high quality components to the market as evidenced by the numerous product launches every quarter, from new options to entirely new innovative products such as the FD Series double icon switch, the QH Series halo indicator or the compact CW Series thumbwheel.
