Steve has been with APEM for 30 years in both sales and other product management positions, the focus is to drive sales of LED indicators and secure business with new innovative designs.
 
Steve was responsible for launching APEMs range of 10mm and 22mm cut-out stainless steel 316L LED indicators.

Steve is currently working on several new and dynamic projects, all for human-machine interface products where the LED indicator has alluring design features and colour rendering that meet high standards of endurance and environments.

Genesis of the Q22 LED Indicator

 

APEM are working with customers who are looking to create robust, durable and feature rich products and one of those markets is the evolution of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.

The UK government alone has pledged £400 million to the infrastructure of electric vehicle charging stations, most are used outside but some are within enclosed environments so the LED indicator must give clear and precise visual communication in all types of light and weather conditions around the world.

Development process

Our product offering is important to meet customer and market criteria and offer new ranges that fit alongside other APEM HMI products. Naturally we review our operation and can see new opportunities emerging so our focus is to have clear product definition with creative foresight.

The construction of this LED indicator is paramount to withstand all weather conditions and applications. APEM has designed an LED indicator that truly meets the design blueprint but Steve thinks more broadly and has added compelling features to the product that will build a strong and sustainable client relationship.
