At APEM, we are fully aware that our collective strength comes from our diversity. In all our subsidiaries around the world, we pay great attention to labour-relations and the social climate, even when there is no specific local legislation on such issues.
Health, safety and working conditions are of course key components of our policy, but several initiatives also contribute to fostering a strong sense of belonging within our teams. Building team spirit, dialogue and transparency, giving meaning to work through customer satisfaction, and creating bonds between people and generations are all factors that help us move forward together.
As a great mark of acknowledgement for these collective initiatives, our Tunisian subsidiary, Sacema, recently received the Social Progress Award from the Head of the Tunisian Government, Mr. Hichem Mechichi. The team were presented with the award on 1 May 2021, during a Labour Day ceremony, attended by many of the country's political figures. The award acknowledges all the work undertaken by Sacema in terms of labour relations, training and purchasing power.
This type of event further reinforces the pride we have in our subsidiaries and their teams, and confirms our belief that this strong collective DNA is the driving force behind our success.
