APEM offers solutions for backlighting your keypad or keyboard; integration of LEDs and Electro-luminescent lamp (EL).  LEDs are best for lighting specific areas of the membrane switch.  Large areas are backlit by an EL lamp with inverter solution.  Both can be combined onto one membrane switch if required.
