But they’re built APEM-rugged, for long life under almost every kind of abuse: extreme temperatures, vandalism, salt, humidity and high usage. Our tough metal keyboards deliver up to 4 million operations in applications such as banking ATMs, outdoor information and payment self serve kiosks, industrial processes involving hot liquids or caustic materials, emergency vehicles, public transport, elevator, building and door access control, and in the military. Their ability to stand up in environments where conventional keypads experience high failure rates renders APEM’s metal keypads very competitive over the life of the product/application. And our metal keyboard modular designs mean APEM can develop custom solutions without prohibitive tooling costs.
